Our guide asked us to take a cable car up to the top and then walk down the next day. He said that was easier and less taxing and tiring. We insisted to walk up and take a cable down and we told him, ‘this is what we are here for, we enjoy walking up hill and not down hill!’
The scenery was beautiful and spectacular. The cloud and mist added mystery and ‘suspense’ to our ‘hard earn’ reward. The mist came and went so fast and that by the time we got ready our camera for a shot, the beautiful scenery was shrouded by the cloud / mist.
Some of the highlights of the mountain region are: Tiandufeng (天都峰), Yupinglou (玉屏楼) and Guangming Ding (光明顶), weather forecast station.
